About AlunaGeorge

The UK electronic duo AlunaGeorge found fame in the 2010s with their R&B-informed future-pop sound and rolodex of first-rate collaborators.

• Before AlunaGeorge, Aluna Francis performed with electronic music band My Toys Like Me. She connected with George Reid in 2009, when he remixed the band’s single “Sweetheart”.
• By 2011, Francis had left the band to form AlunaGeorge with Reid. The following year, the pair issued their debut EP, You Know You Like It.
• In 2013, AlunaGeorge teamed up with Disclosure for “White Noise”. The single reached No. 2 on the UK charts and went platinum.
• Later that year, AlunaGeorge’s debut album, Body Music, peaked just outside the Top 10 on the UK albums chart. It also reached No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart in the US.
• DJ Snake’s remixed version of the Body Music single “You Know You Like It” appeared on the soundtrack of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and went double platinum in the US.
• In 2016, AlunaGeorge contributed to Haitian Canadian producer KAYTRANADA’s Polaris Music Prize–winning album 99.9% and Australian electronic musician Flume’s Grammy-winning Skin.
• Also in 2016, AlunaGeorge released their sophomore album, I Remember, which boasts features from Popcaan, Leikeli47, Dreezy and Flume. The LP went Top 10 on Billboard Top/Dance Electronic Albums chart.
• Two years after the release of 2018’s Champagne Eyes EP, Francis began releasing solo music as Aluna. Her debut album, Renaissance, arrived in 2020.
