In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Not earliest in our lives, but definitely in the life of a(ok). When the first idea came for an early track called Heavy Chair, the whole song came together in 5 minutes. It was the first time we all felt it ticking & its only been up from there. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Car Seat Headrest, Teens of Denial Modest Mouse, The Lonesome Crowded West Ween, Quebec Teens of Denial is the formative album for many of the a(ok) boys & a big reason why we're even a band. The Lonesome Crowded West is packed with wiry guitars, frantic vocals and unexpected turns - it's great. And Quebec... I mean, it's Ween. Tell us why you chose this song. “Boyz Noize” At the end of 2022, we fell out of love with what we were playing - so we started again. 'Boyz Noize' was one of the first tracks we wrote in this new phase of a(ok) & it was exactly what we wanted - loud, fun, scrappy, energetic. The juice was back. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? From packing out our first headline show to performing in front of hundreds of people at Future Now Festival, seeing our audience grow with every release has been special. (and it's even better when they get involved with the carnage at the front) Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So, so much. We're only just beginning. In 2025, we're releasing our first EP and it's by far the best music we've written so far. After that, it's more shows, more cities, bigger venues, bigger pits.
