With sun-dappled optimism, this 2019-formed Manchester indie quartet overtly take influence from the late-'80s/early-'90s baggy scene, '60s West coast psychedelia, and '80s jangle pop. Their name derives from an iconic cultural hub of the Madchester scene and, following two 2020 EPs -- Hello, Is Anyone Awake? and Everything Is an Attempt to Be Human -- the band received national airplay, helping their debut album, December 2021's What Do You Mean It's Not Raining, to achieve a million streams within days of its release.
