Amritsar’s home-brewed pop star Navaan Sandhu may be a relatively new kid on the block, but his versatile vocals have marked him out as a performer to watch in the Punjabi music industry. On his debut album Way Maker, Sandhu cements his reputation with a series of blistering bangers (“C Walk”, “Handcuffs”) and romantic ditties (the Gurlej Akhtar duet “Jealousy”, “Raah”), all adroitly filtered through autotuned vocals. It’s an accomplished and boisterous listen.
