EDITORS’ NOTES

The solo debut by Bethel Music’s Steffany Gretzinger is an intimate worship project that opts for rawness over pop polish. Repetitive lyrical chanting and emotional outbursts, as on “Open Up Let the Light In,” create the impression we’ve stumbled onto someone’s personal prayer time. Gretzinger explores themes of growth, pain, and healing through a spiritual lens, laying bare her thoughts and feelings for the benefit of all within earshot. The simple honesty of tracks like “I Spoke Up” give voice to the little moments that fill our lives with meaning.

Beauty.

If you want an intimate encounter with The Lord; his kindness, his faithfulness, his undying love and his unwavering loyal friendship then buy it. She's captured the heart of the Father in a way that leaves you without being able to hide from the realness of who He is.

Best Christian album since 2011

this year i found and fell in love with steffany. Her pure joy and unashamed nature to worship and please God is rare and infectious. The most orginal lyrics right now in CCM the melodies pull on your heart. I can really hear how much Jesus loves her and how she loves him on "promise i always will" i can hear the father sing that over me. My Life has been changed as i am reminded that it is just me and him.
