Editors' Notes Rather than strain for new sonic territory, Bombay Bicycle Club bassist Ed Nash’s first solo album ploughs a familiar furrow of warm, mournful indie. To be clear, this is very much a good thing. Laced with ruminations on the passing of time (funny-sad finger-plucker “The Sun’s Midlife Crisis”), mythical references (riffy stomp-along “Sisyphus”), and shrewd guest spots (including The Staves), this is a dream-pop marvel, bolstered by Nash’s appealingly whispery delivery.
