Ratings and Reviews
Ultimate Sparks Compilation!
This is a must for any Sparks fan or someone who is looking for a good introduction to their music. Spans their entire career from the earliest recordings up until the recent 'Hippopotamus' album. As with any selection we all have our opinions. I would have personally chosen 'Big Surprise' and 'Forever Young' from the 'Introducing' album rather than the 2 tracks selected. Sparks rather disappeared from view in the UK during the eighties but that period did include many great tracks, all represented here. A bargain indeed. Well worth exploring.
Superb !
Some great songs many of which should have been given airplay and been heard by casual radio listeners back in the day , and should have brought much deserved chart success. This compilation shows that SPARKS have never traded or relied on the past , despite the title , new songs such as “Check out time 11am” would be a stand out song on many a SPARKS album . This set is fantastic value for money , 58 songs covering 4 decades
