Don Henley's solo albums captured his era so well that listening to this compilation is like reliving two exciting decades. We get plenty of '80s decadence on the barbed media takedown "Dirty Laundry" and politically charged synth-rocker "All She Wants To Do Is Dance", a more introspective mood on the impassioned "New York Minute" and "I Will Not Go Quietly", and some later-life resolution on "Everything is Different Now". And don't miss Henley's loping, easygoing take on Leonard Cohen's "Everybody Knows".
