They strut on the slinky "Independent Women"; they’re defiant on the anthemic "Survivor", with its dramatic string flourishes; and they amp up the energy on the sassy club track "Bootylicious". Beyoncé co-wrote every song, save a shimmering cover of the Bee Gees’ “Emotion”, and the group confidently belts out sacred (“Gospel Medley”) and profane (“Sexy Daddy”) soul with equal passion and poise.
