Fittingly, the album flits between twin poles of despair and what he calls "dark optimism", contrasting the evil, skulking techno of "LET THEM IN" with whimsical, organ-kissed funk tracks "GEMINI" and "READY OR NOT". Auto-Tuned crooner The-Dream provides the album's conflicted emotional centre: he radiates joy on "GOOD MORNING", a tender love song to the human race, but on the sombre "BURY YOU" he gives chills with a simple question: "How does it feel to be gone?"
