In 2022, with the world relatively open again after the restrictions of the pandemic, electronic adventurer Joy Orbison, aka Peter O’Grady, relished the chance to travel and soak up new sounds—some of which have made it onto this mix. It’s a set that, like Orbison’s own music, leaps freely across genre barriers, taking in many forms of electronic, from electro-pop to driving techno via UK garage. “I’ve been really enjoying DJing again ’cause it feels like there’s some great new music around,” he tells Apple Music. “This mix is kind of a snapshot of where my head’s at in the clubs right now.”
