British comic Jack Whitehall was in his teens when he started out, so even though he’d graduated to majestic venues like London’s Hammersmith Apollo (where this album was recorded) by his 20s, he still had plenty to say about the bumps in the road toward maturity. That’s a big part of what makes his act so hysterical, whether he’s marvelling at the novelty of being an actual grown-up (“The Coaster Guy”) or getting into the uproarious nitty-gritty of his relationship with his parents (“Quiet Sex”).
