

Having won grime scene acclaim, a co-sign from a certain Aubrey Graham and our place on our New Artists 2017 list, Ladbroke Grove rhymer AJ Tracey burnishes his reputation with this grown-up, forceful batch of new tracks. The pop culture jabs and footballer name drops are still there, of course (see the tongue-twisting braggadocio of “Luke Cage”). But, by the time the brooding trap of “Pasta” kicks in, Tracey has signalled a new phase of adaptable maturity and beat-crushing determination.
