East L.A.’s favourite funk group melds Latin, African, soul, reggae and garage rock into a dance-worthy blend with a flavour all its own. It's no surprise then that Ozomatli’s signature sound translates seamlessly to a family-friendly set that’s bursting with creativity. Who else could deliver songs about photosynthesis, spelling and germs that effortlessly straddle the line between fun and educational? The punky “Skateboard”, the calypso-tinged “Water” and the horn-heavy “Changito” show a range rarely found in music for kids.
