It’s unsurprising that Ed Sheeran’s army of fans mobilised behind Jamie Lawson. The West Country balladeer—who saw “Wasn’t Expecting That” top the UK singles chart four years after its initial release—is the first signing to Sheeran’s fledgling record label. The two both deal in charming folk-pop and this—Lawson's fourth album—glistens with neat, rousing love songs. “Still Yours” is imbued with country yearning, “Ahead of Myself” is nicely knowing and “Let Love Hold You Now” should soundtrack the climactic scene of a future romantic comedy.
