LF SYSTEM’s first time playing in Ibiza didn’t exactly go to plan. “Our flight got cancelled, meaning we missed our first-ever show there,” Conor Larkman, one half of the hitmaking Scottish duo, tells Apple Music. Luckily, that led to one of their favourite moments on the White Island: going back-to-back with Ben Hemsley, after the Newcastle DJ and producer invited them to join him the next day, “which proper made up for it,” says Larkman. Since then, the glory of Ibiza has remained undimmed—something the duo honour in this DJ mix. “This mix sums up Ibiza and reminds us of the amazing times we’ve spent there,” adds Sean Finnigan. “Our earlier memories include getting that magical Ibiza buzz going to DC-10 and Sankeys for the first time with all of our pals—nothing will ever compare to that first-time feeling.”
