30 Year wait is over

To be totally honest i wasn't expecting a lot from this album but I'm pleasantly surprised. There's a couple of stand out tracks,One We Go,Lost In Static and also the single Shameless Fashion. The sound on it is great. It's the album that Beat Boy should have been.A decent follow up to The Anvil. I know a lot of people will slag it off but for me it's great and a nice addition to the Visage discography.Welcome back!!

Steve is back!

Oh my word I haven't been this excited about an album release since Dare in 1981. A 'new' Visage album, something I'd hoped for but never dreamed would happen. As a Blitz Kid who never made it to the Blitz because he was a 'kid' this is heaven sent. Steve is back to his best and Visage are back in some style! Ten tracks of pure magic. If pressed the weakest one for me is track no 10 Breathe Life, the rest are pure magic. You would never know Visage had been away there's even hints of Fade To Grey and Mind Of A Toy in track no 3 She's Electric. Some purists might say too much guitar? Not I. Buy this album, look out your old make up and blouses, turn the stereo up to MAX and dance dance dance. Happy days.

Never enough!

This album has no right to be as good as it is, it's a thing of curiosity which I really wasn't sure about at first, but I'm now finding it increasingly hard to put down.

Sure, the production isn't as polished as previous releases but it has a raw, edgy new wave feel in places and the kind of dramatic soundscapes you'd expect of a Visage album. To its credit it doesn't try to rehash the past, its experimental. I love how it uses old synths to new effect and the lyrics are more engaging than before with unexpected depth and insight.

Never Enough is highly infectious and has a triumphal feel which heralds the unlikely return of Visage. Lost in Static they may have been for almost 30 years but this album marks a bold return after the disappointment of Beat Boy. It brought tears of joy to my eyes after all these years and I'm excited to see where the new Visage 'project' goes from here - a few remixes and different producer(s) could take it to another level.
