Graffiti U

Urban’s previous album, 2016’s Ripcord, featured a headline-making collaboration with Pitbull and Nile Rodgers—a statement about his interest in venturing beyond genre boundaries. Here, the country dynamo continues exploring crossover sounds in innovative ways. “Coming Home” finds singer/songwriter Julia Michaels draping her soprano over a Merle Haggard sample, “Drop Top” takes cues from EDM with an ethereal topline by Kassi Ashton and summer anthem “Horses” gushes with Bleachers-level energy. The Ed Sheeran-penned "Parallel Line" captures the songwriter's romantic sensibilities and could very well become Urban's "Thinking Out Loud”.
