Toolroom Records’ Family mix series hits the big 2-0 in style thanks to a sizzling 15-track serving from KC Lights. “This mix is a reflection of what I’m playing in my sets this summer,” he tells Apple Music of Family 020. “And it’s packed with festival-ready records and feel-good club tunes that I’m loving at the moment.” Before summery dance highlights roll in from Solardo, Groove Armada and Jasper James, the Scottish supremo kicks off proceedings with his 2023 highlight track, “Better Times”. “We aimed to inject a real sense of summer into this track,” he says of his single with singer Låpsley. “Having played it out over the past few months, I’m pretty confident we’ve managed to achieve that!”
