For his February 2023 instalment of Toolroom’s Family series, Manchester’s TCTS goes in the mix with tracks that have helped him light up dance floors and airwaves. “I wanted to showcase some records I’ve been loving recently, records that have been getting a really good reaction in my DJ sets or on my radio show,” he tells Apple Music. “I wanted to have fun and groovy bits—tunes like the new Joshwa, ‘Magalenha’, or Andre Salmon’s ‘Pegao’, which are pure good vibes—through to big, peak-time moments that really impact in the club. Eden Prince’s ‘Take It to the Rhythm’ or LOVRA’s ‘Rhymorator’ both guarantee big moments in a set. When I wrote my new one, ‘Never Know’, I wanted it to be one of those impactful moments. When I’ve been road-testing it in the club it seems to be doing the trick!”
