Everybody's Dying to Meet You

Everybody's Dying to Meet You

Packed with jittery riffs, besotted lyrics and sugar-rush vocals, this London trio’s second full-length operates squarely within indie pop’s sweetest spot. Flowers derive their mighty power from their precise balancing act: Singer Rachel Kenedy’s airy soprano wafts over Sam Ayres’ fuzzed-out guitars and Jordan Hockley’s steady drums on tracks such as the tense “Ego Loss” and the rave-up “How Do You Do". On the brooding “Russian Doll", a shift to Kenedy's lower register completely darkens the band’s mood.
