Reykon is a bubbly reggaetón charmer who can also flash the magnetic swagger of a hardcore MC when the beat demands it. El Lider may burst to life with a ferociously off-kilter banger that drips with hip-hop attitude, but the album turns out to be more about Reykon flexing his radio-seducing pop smarts. He builds a slickly insinuating R&B slow jam from the classic dembow rhythm on "Mala", aims for song-of-the-summer status with the sublime acoustic groove of "Bésame Lento" and deploys a boisterous Daddy Yankee to euphorically hype the crowd on the EDM-tinged "Imaginándote".
