Following his work under the David’s Lyre alias—singer/songwriter Paul Dixon reinvents himself as Fyfe. With an emphasis on skittering electronics, Control is full of expansive bedroom pop that should appeal to fans of both Radiohead and Wild Beasts. “Solace” begins as a downcast lullaby before blooming into a towering anthem. Elsewhere, the closing title track comes alive with martial drums, spiralling guitars and an unforgettable vocal coda.
