Editors' Notes Subtlety has its time and place, but not when it comes to Jello Biafra's lyrics. Bedtime for Democracy was the final studio album before the Bay Area punk legends disbanded, and Biafra left no room for mincing words, taking aim at hollow glamour ("Hop With the Jet Set") as well as hyper-machismo ("Rambozo the Clown"). Hurling his critiques loudly and violently (with the able assistance of his relentlessly cathartic band), Biafra used Bedtime for Democracy to close Dead Kennedys' first chapter with a merciless bang.
