25 Songs, 1 Hour 31 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

This 2010 anthology features a tracklist almost identical to that of the better-known Substance, but with the songs rearranged in the order in which they appeared. Moving from their raw debut EP through subsequent 45s, you get a sense for how quickly Joy Division's sound evolved—from the smouldering blues of "No Love Lost" to the icy electronics of "As You Said" and the atmospheric triumph that is "Love Will Tear Us Apart". You may know the songs inside out, but here you can live them anew.

i tunes LP

Apart from the music itself, i-tunes LP is a very interesting format, a real "digital" alternative to a physical product.
Really enjoyed this!

Not a minus in sight

This new compilation of Joy Division's single's is effectively a remastered version of Substance, only now in chronological order. It goes without saying that the songs contained here are nothing short of remarkable, and hidden among the classics of "Transmission", "Atmosphere" and "Love Will Tear Us Apart" are brilliant, over-looked gems, such as "No Love Lost" and "Autosuggestion". This itunes package is essential though as not only do these songs sound better than they've ever done, but it also contains the video of "Transmission", which is one of the greatest live performances of all time. Also impressive is the digital booklet which offers sleeve art, lyrics and other videos. A must for any JD fan.

Which album??!

If this is on 'album only' availability, it might be helpful if you actually gave us at least a clue which album it is only available on! Also, why do you do this anyway? Why do we have to buy whole albums to get single tracks/videos? I thought having the option to just buy what you actually wanted was supposed to be one of the main advantages of downloading over buying CDs/other physical formats.
