With one of the first full-length, all-dub LPs, Joe Gibbs turns the lowly mixing desk into reggae's star of the show. Throwing the bass upfront and adding enough reverb and echo to make the drums rattle and boom, he creates an even spacier vibe through the use of tape effects and found sounds. On "Treasure Dub", a plucked guitar weaves in and out of the mix. "African Dub" and "East Africa" both use the same backing track, adding horns to change the mood and melody.
