Scout Niblett: Influences

Scout Niblett: Influences

The plangent indie rock of Scout Niblett owes a debt to the early ‘90s, when guitars were both soft and scathing (Low, Hole) and songs were both impressionistic and direct (Young Marble Giants). She also demonstrates a keen understanding of Sonic Youth's unorthodox musical explorations, the loud-quiet dynamics of Nirvana and PJ Harvey's unflinching intensity.
