Les Innocents Essentials

Les Innocents Essentials

With acoustic música popular Brasileira guitars and breezy harmonies, Jean-Philippe Nataf and Jean-Christophe Urbain built their radio-friendly pop rock stardom on a foundation laid down by groups like The Beatles and Squeeze. Formed in 1982, Les Innocents delivered perfect singles like "Jodie"—if John Hughes had ever set a teen movie in France, it would have been on the soundtrack—and fine albums like Fous À Lier, before breaking up in 1999. They reunited in 2015 with the album Mandarine. Their arrangements, studio sparkle and vocal harmonies lend their music an unusually timeless air.
