For the better part of four decades, music legend Johnny Clegg created the type of music we need in order to help fix the world. Together with Sipho Mchunu, he formed the band Juluka, one of South Africa's first and most influential music acts to challenge apartheid—and his “Asimbonanga (Mandela)” echoed through Cape Town's stadium when the nation's father, Nelson Mandela, passed away in 2013. Clegg's vibrant blend of pop and African Zulu rhythms has brought classes and races together, with his “Impi” and “Great Heart” ingrained in South Africa's musical manifesto.
