In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Studying the recorder when I was 5, and by then being introduced to the violin, which is when I fell in love with the instrument. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Air, Moon Safari Björk, Homogenic Radiohead, Kid A I loved these albums very much as I was growing up and they influenced very much how I started thinking about sound and not just musical composition. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Eilífur: IX. Var—Er” This track represents the culmination (or new start) of a trilogy, along Var and Er, from my album Eilífur. Together, they hold a conversation of what the future holds while learning to appreciate the beauty of the present. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Conducting for Björk at Harpa in 2021. I have always admired her music, so being part of that first show after a long live pause was an incredible experience. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Many things! I wish I could collaborate with Jonny Greenwood on a project, conduct the Berliner Philharmoniker, create some wonderful film scores...
