About True Pseudo

With roots in drum'n'bass production, trio True Pseudo's members were already Orange County, CA staples on the club circuit. In 2007, John Dadzie aka Infiltrata or 12th Planet, and Adam G (Flinch) of Natural Kauses brought their turntable stylings together with Sergio (S.e.r.g), an electro enthusiast, to surprisingly palatable heights. Realizing a mutual love for pop-infused dark rock tunes, they began remixing tracks by groups such as CSS, the Arcade Fire, and MGMT, and have firmly placed themselves among some of the West Coast's heaviest hitters. Influences of everything from distorted post-modern rock to '70s era funk, French house music, and punk-tinged electro-clash can be heard within True Pseudo's sound. There's no doubt that the three gentlemen are working hard to innovate and revitalize an already heavily saturated electronic playing field. Stand-out remixes include their take on Snowden's "Red Handed," Mt. Sims' "The Bitten Bite Back," as well as their own body moving track "Elephone." Releasing the single Freaking Me Out on Calamity Jane Recordings in April of 2009, True Pseudo get solidly danceable mix treatments from German up-and-comer ULTRNX and DC power duo Nadastrom. Their sprinklings throughout dance compilations and heavy club rotation ensure that these California beatmakers are foraging their own path through the world of electro, and we're just following along to their unique rhythm. ~ Heather Wellman
