About The Eccentrics
Contemporaries and rivals of the London-based band the Eyes, not much is known about the Eccentrics except that they cut one sneering punk-flavored single for Pye Records' subsidiary, Piccadilly Records, entitled "What You Got" b/w "Fe Fi Fo." With crunchy guitars that made the Who of the same era look like Andres Segovia, the Eccentrics kicked around the Carole King/Gerry Goffin A-side like it was the Who's "The Good's Gone," and then vanished into the ether. ~ Bruce Eder
