In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Listening to old records with my dad in the early 80s, going through his catalogue of classic punjabi vinyls and listening to folk sounds. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? The Safri Boys, Bomb The Tumbi The vocal brilliance of Balwinder Safri (RIP) alongside game changing music by the band was synonymous in driving my love for bhangra music Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Gabroo Panjab Dah ” I grew up on folk music, the track Gabroo Panjab Dah was on my dads favourite punjabi film OST vinyl and it was an immense pleasure to be able to record the song with the eternal legend Surinder Shinda (RIP) What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Reaching number 1 in the official BBC Asian Network charts during the first week of the charts in 2002 Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To collaborate with the Wu-Tang Clan would be the pinnacle of my life!
