About Okkervil River
Combining folk-rock and alternative rock, Okkervil River create a visionary sound based strongly on dark and profound lyrics. The Austin, Texas group released the Bedroom EP in 1998, followed a year later by Stars Too Small to Use, the band's first full-length. Don't Fall in Love with Everyone You See, the group's second album, arrived in 2002, followed by Down the River of Golden Dreams in 2003, reaffirming the group's cult status across the Texas music scene. The band found success outside its home state with 2005's Black Sheep Boy and the Black Sheep Boy Appendix EP, with 2007's excellent Stage Names widening the playing field even more. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges
