Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico, in 2000, Jefnier Osorio Moreno first showed prodigious talent in soccer, but around the age of 15 he began to get attention for the freestyle skills he’d often practice in front of his teammates. His early uploads—including improvising over hits by Drake and Desiigner—culminated in 2017’s “Aparentas”, credited simply to “Jefnier”, which showcased both his passionate rap cadence and unhurried R&B coo.
