Love Nut

About Love Nut

This Baltimore, Maryland, USA-based indie pop quartet was formed in the mid-90s by Max Mueller (guitar/vocals), Andy Bopp (guitar/vocals), Dave Vespoint (bass), and Joe Parsons (drums). Their 1996 debut Bastards Of Melancholy was originally released on a local independent label before being snapped up by Interscope Records. Despite excellent reviews it failed to make an impression, and after completing sessions for their second album the quartet opted to cut their ties with Interscope. Baltimucho!, another fine but overlooked hard rocking power pop collection, was eventually released on the Big Deal imprint in 1998. Love Nut was put on hold in the late 90s while Bopp concentrated on his other band, the more pop-orientated Myracle Brah.
