In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The day I almost quit music! I was tired of playing "boring classical piano" so I decided I wanted out of music lessons. Upon telling my piano teacher the bad news, she introduced me to my first jazz album, played by Monty Alexander. Forever hooked.. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Anderson .Paak, Malibu Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Ella and Louis Classics The culmination of all 3 albums represents my musical core. The sweet and raspy colors of Ella and Louis, the signature Barrett brothers' groove on Travel With Love, and the soulful hip hop stylings of Anderson Paak's Malibu; all timeless pieces. Tell us why you chose this song. “Miss Mac” My first composition ever written, named after my piano teacher and angel in disguise, Joan McMorris. She was the biggest motivator for all my successes and the driving force behind my musical career. Want to make sure her legacy lives on forever.. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I had the opportunity of performing the halftime show for a quarterfinal match in the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Julian Marley. One of the best matches of the tournament, Argentina v. Netherlands. Had the entire stadium chanting "Get Up, Stand Up!" Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? The bucket list only gets longer as time goes by. But simply, I want to leave a musical footprint that can never be washed away. Playing Carnegie Hall, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and Coachella wouldn't be bad either..
