In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I have always lived for music, quite literally, it is in the fabric of my being. When I was 6 years old, my teacher called my mom into a meeting where she told her, "Alana is humming all day long and disturbing the other students." What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Paul Simon, Graceland (25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) The Doors, The Doors All of these albums changed my emotional capacity. Hearing the craftsmanship, collaboration, depth, and soul defied any expectations I once held on what was humanly possible and expanded my goals for what I wanted to create as an artist. I wrote this song when I was sitting in the car as it poured down rain. I thought to myself, "The sun will shine someday." Some of my friends sang the chorus with me which made me feel very supported.
