Baton Rouge's Webster Gradney Jr. became a regional rap hero alongside his Trill Entertainment labelmate Lil Boosie; they released two albums as a duo before Webbie went solo with 2005's Savage Life and its several sequels. A rowdy and excitable presence who often shouts or chants as much as he raps, Webbie is undeniably an offspring of Louisiana rap trailblazers from No Limit and Cash Money. But with Trill's in-house producer Mouse On tha Track, Webbie found his own sound with a run of bawdy club anthems dedicated to celebrating the ladies.
