Yö: '80s

Yö's anthem-laden early catalogue is built on haunting synths and fuzzed-out guitars, channelling the energy of punk through the sound of New Wave, with messianic lead vocals often driving the tracks. Rapid drumming and thrashing bass lines make for an unrepentant backdrop to the theatrics. And there are guitar solos, free-flowing keyboard and collectively sung choruses, too, for good measure.
