Kingston, Jamaica-born, Bronx-bred producers Rsonist and Thrilla—a.k.a. The Heatmakerz—scored their first major credit on Canibus' 2000 B.C., but their mainstream breakthrough came a few years later with contributions to Cam'ron's Come Home With Me and The Diplomats' Diplomatic Immunity. The Heatmakerz thrived during the mid-'00s “chipmunk soul” era and their sonic fingerprints can be found all over The Dips' catalogue. But it wasn't long before they started taking their talents beyond the 'Set to work with the likes of AZ, Lil Wayne and Lil' Flip.
