Rhonda Vincent Essentials

Missouri native Rhonda Vincent began performing as a child with her family's band, The Sally Mountain Show. She was still a teenager and a member of the group when she released her first solo album in 1990. A few years later, she dabbled in mainstream country, but by 2000 she had returned to bluegrass for good. Blending her trad roots with touches of modern country and newgrass, Vincent became more popular than ever, racking up No. 1 albums on the U.S. bluegrass charts, with The Wall Street Journal even dubbing her "The New Queen of Bluegrass".
