Paulo Gonzo may be known as the king of Portuguese power ballads, but he's driven by a diverse list of intrepid rock, soul and swing explorers. The long-standing crooner would be nowhere without plaintive piano troubadour Rui Veloso and Chicago blues godfather Muddy Waters, whose guitar wizardry informed Gonzo's gritty early work in the Go Graal Blues Band.
