Pata Negra Essentials

Pata Negra Essentials

From the ashes of Spanish band Veneno rose the mighty Pata Negra, and flamenco never knew what hit it. Shortly after the Fernandez brothers first infiltrated the scene, they alighted upon the term "blueslería" to describe their unique take on flamenco, a suggestion of how deeply American blues had infiltrated their musical sensibilities. Folding hard rock riffs, Hendrix psychedelia and the uptown soul of B.B. King into a jazzy rock en español, Raimundo and Rafael ensured their amplified punch would leave an imprint on the entire nuevo flamenco movement that followed in their wake.
