Orup: The Early Years

With boundless charisma and a powerful voice, Orup quickly rose to fame with the release of his debut single “Jag blir hellre jagad av vargar” in 1987. His upbeat, poppy songs were typical of the decade's exuberant style, and took inspiration from soul and funk. Delivered with big-budget ‘80s production, huge drums and brass, there are melodic hooks here as good as any you'll find in the period.
