At the midpoint between Justin Timberlake and Kid Rock sit Denmark's pop-rap sensation Nik & Jay. A pair of lusty midriff-flashers never knowingly surrounded by too few underdressed models, they emerged in 2002 as an instant Danish pop phenomenon. Beginning with a sizzling brace of singles in “Nik & Jay” and “Hot!” they revelled in classic rap imagery. After a string of hit studio albums they've become major players in the Scandinavian chart scene, nurturing the likes of Joey Moe and developing a perhaps surprisingly sophisticated maturity on later tracks such as “Novembervej”.
