Enchanting Finnish songstress Laura Närhi has a voice that can simultaneously give you chills and warm your heart. Her artistry, and career, are blossoming; Närhi was first heard lending her vocal prowess to influential electro-rock band Kemopetrol. She launched her solo project in earnest in 2010 and has moved away from the Portishead-influenced sound of her early work. Recent singles demonstrate Närhi's range as she alternates between frostily atmospheric ballads (“Hetken Tie On Kevyt”) and soothing acoustic pop (“Siskoni”).
