Kenyan-born Swedish rapper, singer and fashion designer Daniel Adams-Ray refers to his sound as Kenyan pop-disco-indie-punk. Celebrated as Sweden's Best Rapper in '05, he started his career with sidekick Oskar Linnros, forming the alternative hip-hop duo Snook and releasing the award-winning LPs Vi Vet Inte Vart Vi Ska Men Vi Ska Komma Dit and Är. As he entered his solo career, Adams-Ray invented a unique mixture of Motown disco, African beat and surf-pop for tracks like the inspired “Thinking of Sunshine”. He would routinely revisit his hip-hop roots in hits like “Håll om mig (feat. Petter)”.
