ATB's music doesn't scrimp on emotion: fusing trance's driving beats and vivid electronic textures with soaring vocal melodies, the German producer's work wears its heart proudly on its sleeve. In the late '90s, he anticipated EDM's pivot toward full-scale pop, and with subsequent records, the musician born Andre Tanneberger continued to open up his sound, adding elements of chillout and rock to a foundation of progressive house. But ATB has never turned his back on his roots, and the euphoric essence of uplifting trance remains at the core of everything he does.
