About Spoilers

Drawing inspiration from the rich British underground punk scene of the late '80s and early '90s, Spoilers play a fast-paced onslaught of pop-punk, as heard on their 2018 full-length Roundabouts. Formed in Canterbury, U.K., by Dan Goatham (vocals, guitars), Ben Davis (guitars), Leon Packer (drums), and Stuart Randall (bass), the bandmembers were no strangers to the U.K. punk scene, having already played in other bands. Inspired by the early-'90s punk of acts such as Snuff, Leatherface, Mega City Four, and Goober Patrol, they blended the roughness of those bands with the pop-punk sensibilities of acts that would grace the Fat Wreck Chords roster. Spoilers' first EP, Stay Afloat, appeared in 2015 on Boss Tuneage, and with the group playing numerous live shows and support slots, they quickly attracted a following. A split single with the No Marks appeared the following year, before the band set about recording their debut album in 2017. Released via Boss Tuneage, Roundabouts appeared the following year, along with a collection of their previously released material and demos, Recently Re-Released. ~ Rich Wilson
